Help My Unbelief!

You had faith. You held the promises. And yet you failed to receive the miracle. What went wrong?

Do you just chalk it up to “God works in mysterious ways”?

You shouldn’t. His ways have been revealed to us through His Word. Someone will point out that His ways are higher than ours, but when the Bible speaks like that it’s referring to His desire to show mercy to the wicked and unrighteous (see Isaiah 55:6-9). It means He gives grace when we wouldn’t! The “mysterious way” about God is that He blesses us even when we don’t deserve it.

“So why didn’t my prayer get answered?”

What Do You Expect?

When the weatherman says there is going to be severe weather, people make the necessary preparations. What about the things of God? What has God said and do you […] Continue reading →

Aim for Greater

It’s our turn to do the miracles. We are not helpless- all things are possible to him who believes! So how is it then, that the church seems to be struggling? Why do we read of great exploits in the book of Acts, and then fail to see the same in our modern surroundings? […] Continue reading →

Your Troubles are Not Your Crosses

I used to struggle under the notion that the trials I was going through may be crosses that God wanted me to bear. A theology of suffering was presented and I was encouraged to believe that somehow God was getting glory out of my problems. Since then I have subscribed to a theology of victory, […] Continue reading →
